The Bock Boys Headed to mount Buller on Wednesday . Sunshine all day and great skiing .

Firm but great carving was had on the Summit, Wombat , Grimus and Standard Run .

Top Half of Federation was good skiing  a few ice cookies on top.

Cow camp was fun with moguls ,firm till about lunch the softening.

Boarder cross track on Skyline was heaps of fun.

When the boys were on the summit chair they were lucky enough  see the legendary Hans Scooper carving the Summit  up ,they tried to get the attention of the ski great but he was far to focused to be worrying about fans yelling from the chair.

The Bock bro’s rated Grimus and McLaughlin’s ridge the best skiing of the day.

Ski’s tested on the day were Dynastar Sultan 85 and legend 80 the skis (Demo Skis)handled great on all the terrain on the mountain.Carved great on the hard packed and even better on softening snow. They made Federation an enjoyable ride busting the cookies out of the way.

Lee from Ski Chute Four headed up to the mountain today.

Great weather and snow conditions.

Not as windy as first predicted. The summit was her favorite run.

There was no waiting in the ques and chains were not being fitted to any vehicles ” Thank God”.

The whole mountain is open apart from Bull Run bowl and Federation bowl.

Lee was skiing on Ski Chute Four’s Dynastar Women’s Legend and had a blast on them commenting on their stability and easy turning on all of the terrain she skied.

Snow fall of 9cm last night was a great surprise for skiers today.

With 21 of 22 lifts open the mountain is looking fantastic.

Horse hill chair lift is open for quick and easy access for skiers hiring at Mansfield ski hire Ski Chute Four.Get your  gear drive up the mountain get on horse hill chair lift and strait on to the mountain avoiding the village ques.

Last night started with some rain then around midnight started to snow and continuing all through the day. Forecast is for more snow though out the week . Cars were fitting chains at chain bay 3 and also fitting on the way down tonight.

Be sure to have the right fitting chains and clear instructions before you head up the mountain.

If you haven’t been up for a ski or board get up the mountain and get in to it as you never know what Mount Buller weather could produce next.

The whole mountain is open apart from the Bull run bowl (excluding Standard Run and Wood Run),and the Federation bowl.

The Ski and Snowboard Demo weekend was a real hit. Drew from Dynastar said it was the most interest he has seen on Mount Buller at the Demo weekend. All the riders were wrapped with the ski’s and boards they tested.

With extensive snowmaking over night we are looking at a great days skiing . All of the Ski Chute Four customers returning on Wednesday night had a great day . Firm snow in the morning head to Shakey Knees on the north side of the mountain as it will soften by apox 10.30 in the morning, then head over to Little Buller Spur and let the legs burn down the 1.5km run.

For the younger at heart head to Bourke sreet to polish your rail skills or try them for the first time.

Mansfield Snow Chain Hire Available,

Snow chain requirements are decided on a day to day basis and is determined by weather forecasts and existing road conditions. The requirements vary between 2-wheel drive and 4-wheel drive vehicles as well as the all-wheel drive ones. These vehicles act differently on the snow and icy roads. These snow chain requirements are released through the resort management board of mount buller. Billboards also post the latest requirements as you enter Mt. Buller area. Call into the store for the latest snow report and chain requirements. Open 7am-7pm.

For overnight stays or going beyond the Skating Rink car park area and snowline, the snow chain requirement should be followed at all times. Weather conditions change abruptly on the mountains.
